Two things happened at Georgia State over this period: a consolidation that
reshaped the student body overnight, and a sustained closing of graduation-rate gaps between
student groups. They need separate charts — the measures share no scale.
Six-year graduation rate by student group
Percent of entering cohort graduating within six years
The gap is the story: groups that began 4–5 points below the
overall rate now sit level with or above it.
Total enrollment
Headcount, all levels — shown separately because a percentage
and a headcount must never share an axis
The 2016 step is the Georgia Perimeter College consolidation,
not organic growth — a structural break, and reading it as a trend would be wrong.
